Seven Internet Broadband Terms

The speed of the connection provided is shown in Mbps, and dependent upon the distance of the premises from the BT exchange, and the capabilities of the telephone exchange. Newly upgraded BT exchanges will achieve upto 8Mbps or 24Mbps maximum download. Standard BT exchanges will achieve 2Mbps maximum download speed. The data transfer amount shown indicates the amount of data in Gigabytes that can be transferred during each billing month. Peak is defined as Monday to Friday 8am to 10pm. and off-peak is defined Friday 10pm through to Monday 8am. Customers who use more than predefined transfer amount will be charged the difference between the amount paid for and the amount used on their next invoice. They will also be charged a £8 service charge. * Unlimited products are subject to an acceptable use policy: Seven Internet specialise in the supply of broadband to small to medium sized business (SME's). In almost all cases our unlimited service provides all the bandwidth needed by SME's, however we do operate an acceptable use policy (AUP) on Seven Internet Broadband. This is in place to prevent a very small number of customers from affecting the performance of the service for all other users. The Acceptable Use Policy means that the service may not be suitable for those individuals who regularly use download movies etc. If we feel that your data transfer is going way beyond the normal use of a typical SME, we will contact you to ask you to reduce your usage. If, your usage doesn't fall within an acceptable level, we will contact you again to discuss our options which may, in extreme circumstances include suspension or disconnection of the service Monthly charges are billed monthly in advance. Minimum contract 12 months with 30 day notification of cancellation. If a Broadband service is terminated early, the activation costs will be charged at £55. Please note that the ADSL contract applies to the installation address. If you move or wish to move within this period, the broadband has to be ceased and is classed as an early termination. Broadband migrations from a standard BT line are free of charge. If you are migrating from a non- BT LLU (local loop unbundled) line, then an additional £55 activation charge applies.

All plans are based on a 12 month contract. If you do already have broadband, you can transfer to us for free and get 2 months free with no downtime. Off-peak is defined as 22:00 to 08:00 weekdays and Friday 22:00 through to Monday 08:00. The usage allowance specified above includes downloaded and uploaded data. If you go over you allocated usage amount there is a one-off £6.75 admin fee plus the difference to the next plan. The 8 Mbps & 24Mbps business broadband services can vary in speed due to line quality and distance from your telephone exchange. 24 Mbps is only available if your telephone exchange has been upgraded to ADSL2+. Please use our broadband checker to see when your telephone exchange will be upgraded. Cease charge Please note that if you cease the ADSL service, for example if you are moving house, cancel the landline or BT cancel the service on the line for any reason, a standard cease charge of £29.50 will be charged on your next bill. This charge was introduced by BT wholesale and therefore ISPs have to pass this on. We actually charge less to you than BT wholesale charge us. The cease charge is not applicable if you migrate to another ISP by using the MAC code supplied by us, providing your new ISP uses this MAC Code to transfer your service - so you are free to migrate away without any charge.
